How do I add gift messages to orders?
Two options depending on your workflow:
Upload: Include a "gift_note" or "gift_message" column in your spreadsheet. The message attaches to each recipient's order as an order note.
Checkout: Enable the gift message field in your multi-recipient checkout settings. Shoppers can enter a message per recipient or fill down the same message for all.
For packing slip display, your Shopify packing slip template needs to reference the note attribute where the gift message is stored.
Can customers upload images or logos during checkout?
Yes. Tag a product with "Requires Customization" in Shopify, and an image upload field appears below the product in the cart. The uploaded image is stored as a custom line item property and passes through to recipient orders. This is separate from the gift message field.
